The FF Collective presents Sexy Songs as part of our new "3S" concert series. This program features songs by Reynaldo Hahn, some of our favorite jazz standards, and some cheeky musical theater selections performed by Paul Holtz, Danielle Perrault, and Tasha Koontz. This program was originally planned for Valentine's Day but who says you need a holiday to dress up and celebrate love? Bring yourself or grab a friend or special someone and enjoy an evening filled with beautiful music and a stellar ocean view.

Paul Holtz, Collaborative Pianist
A respected pianist and teacher, Paul Holtz has worked as a professional musician in the San Diego area for over 25 years. Paul has extensive experience as a freelance musician, whether performing in a small group, in a big band, as an accompanist, or as a solo pianist. Since 1999, Paul has directed his own jazz group, The Paul Holtz Trio. Although primarily a jazz pianist, Paul holds a music degree in classical piano performance in addition to his master of music degree in jazz piano performance. Paul has been the Rancho Bernardo High School vocal department accompanist since 2012. As an educator, Paul teaches private piano students at his home in Escondido. In a leap of faith, Paul began learning to play the organ in January 2018 and took on the position of organist and accompanist at St. Peter's at that time.

Native Hawaiian soprano Tasha Hokuao Koontz has been recognized by Parterre Box for her “sumptuous, gleaming lyric instrument” and by Opera Wire for her “secure silvery high notes” for her performances with Chicago Symphony Orchestra as the High Priestess in Aïda in 2019.  In San Diego Opera’s 2021 concert One Amazing Night “Soprano Tasha Koontz wowed with a knockout performance of “Dieu quel frisson” from Gounod’s opera, “Romeo et Juliette,” (San Diego Union Tribune). Upcoming engagements include appearances with Mainly Mozart Festival, San Diego Opera, Camarada, the FF Collective, and the Helena Symphony.  Ms. Koontz recently represented San Diego Opera in Ascension, a site specific, two woman show at the WOW Festival held by the La Jolla Playhouse. Ms.Koontz also sang the role of Donna Anna in the FF Collective concert production of Don Giovanni featuring Maestro Bruce Stasyna as conductor and pianist.   Joining the San Diego Symphony for the third time, Ms. Koontz was recently a featured soloist with Conductor Emeritus, Jahja Ling, singing excerpts from Grieg’s Peer Gynt.  A frequent competitor, Ms. Koontz was a semifinalist in the 2022 Giulio Gari Competition and the Jensen Foundation Competition and was a finalist in the Zenith Opera Competition.  Ms. Koontz is represented by Athlone Artists. www.Tashakoontz.com IG: @TishTashKoontz
